About me
Matt Pearson litigates a wide variety of class actions across the country on behalf of clients from nearly every industry. Matt has handled cases for vehicle manufacturers, hospitals, banks, national and global retailers, media companies, technology companies and more.
Much of Matt’s practice focuses on the ever-growing and constantly evolving area of privacy. Matt frequently handles cases filed under California’s Unfair Competition Law, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA), Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and similar statutes from other states.
Recently, Matt has become a go-to resource for companies facing ad-tech litigation, including cases arising out of the use of web-based tracking technologies. As a result, Matt’s practice has evolved from simply litigating privacy cases after they have been filed to proactively advising clients on how to mitigate the risk of litigation while still utilizing ad-tech to its fullest capabilities.
